February is for doing your love

Master Save Archive 1/21/26 Spreadsheet with what the save archive contains

I don’t now why I’m trying to pun the titles of these. I don’t even like puns all that much…

Anyway, February ended up as a clean up month for me. Lots of things coming out or have come out and instead of backlog hunting, I decided to try and catch up. March will be what I originally wanted February to be.

18+-

Current- Gray Haven maybe, really undecided.

Sexy Mystic Survivors– The first survivor style game I played. Still can’t really tell if that was a good idea or not. It’s kind of unfinished, with only 5 of the 10~ characters having scenes though I vaguely remember that being the promise when it released? Anyway it’s fine. If you want Vampire Survivor but way less expanding content and with way higher PC requirements, it works. I got everything except the final unlock, which is Reroll at 400k enemies killed. I got everything else at 280k, farming 120k enemies is like 3-5 hours of pure grind for nothing. No thanks.

As for the game itself, each character gets a unique passive and active skill and the final character is by far the strongest. There’s a decent feel of expansion of content for the first two level completes, then it’s map completion for h scene grinding for at least 8 maps. It’s not the worst attempt at Survivors gameplay I’ve tried, but it doesn’t do anything all that special. At least it awards winning.

Visual Novel-

Current- Aheahe Moon R – Return of the Married Sailor Sluts, the only fan translated Orcsoft title I decided to play, as it’s very unlikely to be officialy released. At this point there are like 4 Orcsoft titles in English I haven’t played, so I’m just going to trudge along until they are done. I skipped through the new NTR on so that save will go up with this. Only the second half left.

Ecchi-

Current- Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon- I’m in Act 1 part 3 at 15 hours. The gameplay is definitely the best of the Calvard series, maybe of all the games I’ve played. It feels like all the old random mechanics have finally come together. This will of course fall apart once status effect immunity and the overpowered stuff start flowing in.

Also RoguediceR, though the endgame feels really empty right now. once all the characters unlocked I’ll put the save out then wait until it gets more content, farming all the meta currency would just be grinding for the sake of it.

Cabin by the Lake V.53d

This is an interesting idea for a game genre, it’s basically a roguelite visual novel. If that makes any sense. But not in the Hush Hush sense where it’s a dating sim with NG+ for the true end. It’s a vn with meta progression and short burst gameplay.

[Ecchi]Gal Guardians 2: Servants of the Dark

It’s been a bit since I did a lengthy post for anything, and since I like talking about genre stuff and this game has something of a mess of different -vania genre things I figured I could talk enough to have a decently lengthy post for once.

Anyway, this is a -vania game, a kind of sequel to Gal Guardians which itself is the spiritual sequel to Gal Gun Double Peace. This is more of an ecchi game then it’s predecessor, though really not by much. 1 cg versus this game’s 4-ish. The more notable thing is that other then Maya and Shinobu showing up and being a boss fight + a sidequest + a hot spring cg the game has no other connection to Gal Gun. It actually feels more similar to a Disgaea in setting.

New Year, New… Mystery? Edit: 1/29

So this was suppose to be a month of isekai games, but then I got sick and all my plans kind of don’t appeal to me when my libido is half or less of it’s normal level and I just have little energy. So I’m shifting to less cute and happy stuff to detective and mystery themed stuff. I’ll finish anything I started last month, and Trails Beyond Horizon is still going to steal half the month.

As for why mystery, I was in the mood for it anyway after a movie on New Year’s I saw with friends. So that’s why. For broader options I’m going with any game with a grand or bigger mystery, not specifically puzzle games and detective stuff only.

Edit: 1/29- January is basically over, and February is going to be a bit before it gets any new saves. I’m dropping themes for February due to the sheer amount of new releases I want to catch up on, that are all decently long + Horizon. I was going to do country side romance to justify finishing Amantsu and Aikagi, that’s being put off to maybe March. Right now February looks like Horizon for ecchi + something if it works, either Renai Kilometer or Maiden’s Serenade for VN + Ahehe Moon for nukige, I’ll waste some time on the Dragon Maid gacha thing, and Sexy Mystic Survivors for 18+(finishing Cabin and Hundred Line has made me really want to finish some old stuff I dropped.) Busy, busy.

18+ Game

Isekai Quest– This was finished as I was getting sick, so is a leftover from isekai month. It’s a match 3 with a protag who wants a harem, morals be damned. You up your stats by winning matches and using condoms as stocks to buy levels essentially. Then you hit a wall and game over at which point you can pick a death card from the death mascot animal to reset the whole world but not your stats. Repeat until you win. Some of the scenes are weirdly hidden, and the game never got truly finished. It was okay, not something I’d really recommend.

1/24- Cabin by the Lake V.53d– A roguelite vn without the random stuff? I guess that works to explain it. It’s a meta progression focused visual novel with a lot of content. And big plots on all the girls. it’s something I’ve got obsessed playing many times in the past but now that the final girl is finally getting content I decided to actually get caught up on it.

Konpoko Summer Vacation– A visual novel built in RPG Maker, it’s super short. Basically just a big tanuki and fox girl nukige. It was a thing to do, I don’t have anything to really add.

VN

Edit-1/15-Lovepical-Poppy!– Newer Smee title. I had plenty of fun with this one, it was mostly silly antics with a decent flow of events to keep things moving. I do wish the routes had events like the common route did. I thought back to how Majikoi would put another new martial arts tournament or event into each route to keep things fresh, and the common route of this did that but sadly the routes didn’t keep that energy.

Anyway, it a silly fun time. I think Miu was my first streamer heroine I’ve read, I think they did a good job with her. The balance of funny and actual emotion was usually fine, though definitely tilted towards funny.

Edit 1/29- Isekai Revitalizer + Forbidden Ward: Raunchy Recovery Plan– Two more Orcsoft titles done for January. Ward was a mind fuck with it’s true ending. I didn’t see that coming at all. Not huge fan of the protag though. The Isekai wasn’t that much better, though in an entirely different way. The gentleman pervert thing had it’s moments but he broke his own rules a bunch of times early on, even getting called on it. His holier then though feeling left a bad taste, which really didn’t mix with his random low self esteem bits. Both were fine, middle of the pack for Orcsoft titles for me.

Family Friendly/Ecchi

Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark– This will have a post soon with my thoughts on how it’s setup, but I enjoyed the ideas of it. It’s subweapon system beqs for an entire game dedicated to them, and the bones as collectibles and xp was odd but fine. Levels getting you most of your moveset is odd for a -vania but since the bones come from exploring and from drops it kind of works, I definitely get why people didn’t like it. It’s also more lewd then the first, with about 4 actually lewd cgs versus 1.

Edit: 1/18- AI: Somnium Files Series-All three current games, one save link. My simple opinions are the first game is the best story and personal favorite game design for the Somniums, 2 has Tama(a busty dark skinned S themed girl) so is the best visually and has better game feel though it also got dumbed down a decent amount so that half the Somnium’s play themselves plus the twist is kind of dumb until it gets used in another game in the franchise, the 3rd game(or 1.5 in the franchise) has the most game in it but little Tama(Iris is in a weird swimsuit though, not to my taste) and honestly a dumb story. Overall it was fun to play them. I’d give the whole series a 7/10 for different reasons for each game. Might give them a bigger write up later.

Edit 1/29- Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- I can’t believe I actually finished this damn thing… On one hand, I’m glad this exists. Passion projects like this from industry veterans are cool. On the other hand, there’s a reason the cutting room floor exists. I don’t know how to recommend something with this many different story genre’s thrown together to anyone. It doesn’t stand out strongly in any one area, and it’s best plot moments are things you can get better or faster in the two most famous writers other works.

The biggest issue is really just how bland the characters are. By necessity of some later plot stuff, they are incredibly generic while at the same time one or two note quirky. Basically their lack of real meaty backstories makes the bonding and character focused routes feel empty. If I could read this from Takemaru’s point of view, or maybe Tsubasa or Hiroko(or Nozomi in Cult), I might not have had such an issue.Takumi though is such a wet, indecisive noodle. Of course the point of view character is the weakest in personality. I did like the rotating love interest stuff felt appropriate through the routes, and when the routes went hard into mystery or psychological stuff they were usually interesting. Could have lived with less Takumi guilt tripping, the guy just never stops his pity parade.

Anyway, the game is only ecchi in the Cult route and one cg in the Vexness route. The weird 3D model style cgs and types of swimsuit shots makes the rest of the attempts at fanservice weak. I really can’t recommend this to anyone, it’s just not a focused enough experience to be even vaguely near the top of any recommend request.

2026 Time

Happy New Year, I guess. Kind of doing this post as a formality, so I’ll keep it short. Usually I’d post a list of everything I finished this year, but that would be 105 games long. Which is quite a bit more then most years, though a lot of that was short nukiges and partial games.

January’s post will go up in a few days when something for it is actually done. News wise nothing is happening with me, life is still mostly calm. Not a lot announced in the year has me exited, though I’m sure I’ll enjoy stuff like NekoNyan’s new stuff and Trails Horizon is apparently the best game in the series in a while. So some fun will be had.

Stay safe, enjoy what you can/ Back up what you don’t have time for, you might need it later.

Demons for December, Yay! Edit- 12/28

Decembers theme is demons. Yep. Mainly succubi, but I needed a few more options for ecchi and possibly visual novels that aren’t nukige, so demons.

It was a toss up for either demons or yuri, and I had more demon related games I wanted to clean from my backlog. There’s also an avalanche of moege + some indie stuff coming out I will be playing.

Edit 12/22-

So January is basically already planned out, with isekai as the theme. Hatsumira as one of the only non nukige visual novels with isekai, two Orcsoft isekai nukige, an 18+ game, and maybe Conception 1 depending on time. Thing is, Trails into Horizon comes out like halfway through the month and that’s a big release for me. Everything other then nukige will likely take a back seat at that point.

Edit 12/28- Final update of the year. The actual January post will go up when a game finishes for it, though I’ll probably put up a New Year’s post looking back on the year between now and then.

18+ Game

Demon’s Sperm– Fullflap 2d Soul’s style game. It’s more of a platformer then a straight combat thing, though you do both plenty. You really only get lewd content when you finish an area and turn in the boss’s remains, otherwise it’s just busty girl running around fighting. It was fine, needed controller support and I’d probably would have enjoyed it.

Edit 12/4 Succubus Forest – Roguelike deckbuilder with pixel art perv content. It’s short and a bit random to unlock everything, but I think I did it. The merchant might have a second variant to unlock? I didn’t want to rerun the whole game hoping on luck to test that. Anyway, I enjoyed it. A lot of deckbuilders are either way to grindy or long, this one was just right. I played only on hard by the way, easy makes it a breeze I imagine. Bit weird that beating the game didn’t unlock anything, meeting the final boss is the farthest you have to get.

Edit 12/22- VS Oppai Succubus Enano Edition– A single boss fight deck builder? You pick some relics aka equipment that decides your skills and the game random picks from your whole list until you win or lose. So the prep is the key to the game. It’s interesting at first, boring when you are speeding through fights to see if your new build was enough or just winning for the sake of it. Save has everything except one sellable item in the item list, and the non base save is a version the translator made that adds the updated game’s scene(cheerleader cosplay) to the game. Beyond the boss fight, it’s 100% a paizuri game with a bratty succubus. It does weirdly end with a romance though.

Ecchi

Edit 12/4- Gal Guardians: Demon Purge – A call back to the original Castlevania with some -vania level design stuff thrown in and that annoying knockback. Only 2 parts of the game were really hard, the rest was mostly a bit repetitive as you basically need to replay each level 3 times to get everything. No cg gallery so I made sure to setup a bunch of achievements were easy to get with the save. All endings should be available to get. Overall it wasn’t bad but it’s only barely in the spirit of Gal Gun, in fact it’s really not an ecchi game it’s only under this banner since it’s related to Gal Gun.

Edit 12/15- Queen’s Loyalty – A save to a finished game, not much to do other then play as all the girls for a bit(a scene replayer was added the day after I wrote this, though the only scenes really worth watching are the summon and girl ending scenes). The game is basically a single player Korean MMO, lots of grinding very simple enemies. It’s not mindless since ranged enemies will tear you apart, but generally it gets old very fast. Most story progress bits are locked by kill 100 enemies quests, it could have been worse but it’s still just very grindy. It works, but there’s not much here other then hot girls.

Visual Novel

Edit- 12/10- Iku Iku Succubus- This might be my least liked Orcsoft thing so far? Mainly because you are in the head of an actually unlikeable guy. Unless you pursue the tanned succubus, he’s kind of a jerk at best. On the other hand, the game has some good body variety like an actual chubby girl and not a girl the game calls chubby but isn’t even vaguely chubby. Anyway, the real plot was kind of interesting and I liked that Lima was basically always beating the main dude, but I just don’t like being in the head of the perv teacher..

Edit- 12/15- Marshmallow Imouto Succubus- Decent. I wish Saki’s voice actor had been better? I didn’t like her much for the role, though the innocent voice with the succubus acts is just a fetish I don’t have. It does feel like you could remove the Succubus stuff for a parasite or mind control or possession and the plot wouldn’t really change…

Also included saves for Everyone Wants My Girl and My Life as a Cult Leader. These are the two official Orcsoft releases I had no intent to play, so I skipped through them as something of an early Christmas bonus. For the first one, I don’t care for NTR. For the second, creating a harem then sharing your girls is just not for me. Cult does have an interesting premise though. It’s just not for me.

Edit 12/28- Succubus Sessions: Mami Mamiya’s Sweet Slice of Hell – One of those episodic heroine release things, though one with some interesting stuff going for it. The main guy is recruited into a Succubus village as he has a lot of life force. His job? Get the girls used to guys so they can find guys without killing them. This episodic release is a linear story and only episode 1 of 3 is out, and the other two don’t seem to be coming. Which kind of sucks, this one ends on a cliffhanger. What story it has is interesting and it really uses the succubi nature stuff a lot, I also like the heroine thoughts during intercourse bit even if her thoughts felt very basic at times. Mami is a decent heroine for a first entry, not as boring as most episodic sets tend to be as her yandere succubus side peeks out pretty often.

Unthemed-

Edit 12/5- Homesweet Homecoming– A very safe VN. It’s basically Furereba but calmer. You start with 7 girls you are basically on friendly terms with after moving back to Japan and rush a relationship before summer break. The most annoying issue for me was that the 3 sub heroines all had way more interesting ideas then the 4 main ones. I really want a bodyguard’ed heroine where you get chummy with the guard and win over the girl alongside/after. The closest to that would be Rewrite with the butler. The Medusa thing with Rin was also hilarious in concept but went nowhere. Erina was the safest, calmest teacher route ever. Those three would make for a way more interesting VN then childhood lazy friend, goody good girl pres, energetic senior, and shy sports girl. They weren’t bad, but the sub heroines were just way more interesting in concept then the 4 main ones.

Edit 12/4- Pocket Sweeties 1(V1.6.4) + 2(V1.0.3)– Something I felt like doing. Short clicker with some puzzle content to unlock everything. 2 is 3d and really early content wise, 1 is basically done.’

Edit 12/14- Koikari- Love for Hire + After Hours– Finished the fandisc… Tsubaki and Emi are fun. The twins are silly and work really well to add chaos, but as heroines they aren’t really interesting. I really don’t care for Hasumi, though it was a bold choice to have Emi see Hasumi and protag banging in Hasumi’s after story. In general After Hours is just more fun, though I would have preferred solid Saki/Momoka routes over after stories. Love for Hire in general is my favorite Asa Project VN to date. It’s also just a better version of Rental Girlfriend. It actually goes somewhere, there is actual chemistry between all the characters, and it’s funny.

Edit 12/25- Princess Loves Goblin– A puzzle game of sorts. Every move shifts the NPC’s, and you are trying to sneak into the Princess’ room for a night of fun. You have a time limit and the first few runs will be just learning the way to get through screens. Once you reach the Princess the timer ticks down to 0 and you probably don’t have her entire gallery since there wasn’t enough time for them to frolic under the sheets enough. You basically need an almost perfect run to get the entire gallery. Then find the other two girls and do the same for them. It’s pretty short, was a decent hour or so.

Edit 12/28- Pixel Call Girls– This doesn’t really fit anything other then VN, though it really isn’t a novel either. It’s a sprite h scene gallery with few steps. It does have some interesting design stuff, with the core game being more of a platform. So for example, currently Rei and Sana are completely separate characters in the game. If you download just 1.1.2 you get only Sana, but if you drag Rei’s files from her version into the current one with Sana, you get both as options. Currently it’s only those two and they are both Touhou girls, no idea where this will go but I like how it’s designed.

November Nut Burst

I’m trying to be silly, but I kind of cringe at that title… Anyway, all the 18+ stuff I finished in November-

Busty Ninjas– Parody RPG Maker game, focused on Sakura and Hinata of ninja fame though all kinds of characters how up. Save is in the bonus room, but all three towns have content not found in the gallery. There’s a lot. It’s a short nukige esque romp with a somewhat high difficulty.

One Pump Chump V1.0– The game is “done”(got updated like a few days later, I’m not caught up with that yet), so I finished it. Superbosses were fun. Kind of wish Fubuki got a bit more content. overall a pleasant and unique idea.

Amairo Chocolate 3– It’s basically a nukige with two moege routes attached. This is because they added 3 h scenes to each heroine from the previous games along with super short after stories, giving them 6 total h scenes in the series each. Kohana is the new heroine, she basically fills in a bunch of lore stuff while being the silly lord type. She’s also the only shortstack. AmaIro was decently fun overall, wouldn’t mind more stories in the setting with more beastfolk types and other non human stuff.

Funbag Fantasy 4 -Brother Astor- Funbag is such a fun series. 4 is the best entry, Astor is the best protag of the four game so far. He actually gets mad! That shouldn’t be a praiseworthy trait, but Lute and Julianas and I think Ruin just float through a lot of their adventures. Astor doesn’t rely on supernatural powers, he plans and takes actions when called for and in general is great. There’s still a lot of silly over the top luck in how he wins, but it’s not done through magic, just Astor rolling with and making the best of the situations. I wish I had time for the gacha game on Erolabs, but I don’t. Apparently it’s actually another entry in the series writing wise instead of a tacked on money machine like most of these types.

November is for Not Nutting Apparently- Edit 11/19

So I’m going continue doing themes for months for a bit at least, and November is No Nut. Kind of.

I’m actually going to be reading Funbag Fantasy 4, but with long nukige I tend to lose focus on other things or go super slow if I’m still reading other 18+ stuff, so I’m going to mostly stick to ecchi and all ages when I’m not reading Funbag 4. This was more or less always the plan, it just got pushed back 2 months.

So the idea for this November is while I am going to be playing 18+ stuff, I won’t be putting them on the blog until December starts(with the exception of any of October’s projects finishing up). Current plans are as follow

Edit 11/18-

November is basically done for new games. The last week gets a bunch of personal stuff so I have no time for gaming, and for whatever reason every moege publisher decided to fill every other week with a new release. HomeSweet Homecoming, AmaIro 3, Renai Kilometer, the Smee thing, LoveR, and H9 are all things I’m interested in so I have no time to continue the all ages theme. Decembers theme will be demons, any suggestions or requests I’ll take but I do have most of my choices already picked out. As for Funbag 4, it has 9 scenes left, so it’ll be done on time. Apparently the gacha game is coming to English on Erolabs and I’ve heard good things about it.

Family Friendly Games-

Currently Playing- Fields of Mistria- I play Stardew with some friends, and I wanted a solo Stardew that was a different game. I ended up on this. This won’t finish any time soon, it’s a game for when nothing else really fits time wise.

FF1 PSP- For at work. I ran out of new things to read, so I wanted to play something and ecchi doesn’t really work at work.

Ecchi games-

Current- None.

Edit- 11/10

Magical Nut Ikuno– Pac-man stlye. Was decently fun, though not very pervy. Didn’t use it’s boob/ass expansion gimmick much at all.

Merry Bunny Garden– Toss the romacne from the original and crank up the sex appeal. Dating sim got replaced with more pervy minigames and drunken walking. It was an experience.

VNs-

Current- Complete

Time Tenshi Remake– Finished, I rushed through this just to finish the whole series. I just don’t get why this is a thing? It’s still pretending to be an ecchi thing while cutting back the bust sizes and breast expansion that was the big draw to the original. It was never going to work.

Edit 11/6-

Fate/stay night REMASTERED– It’s done. Having to basically 100% it twice since walkthroughs don’t mention the one and only 100% missable scene in the game that is blocked off if you unlock Heaven’s Feel was a special kind of treat… Anyway, did this mostly cause I was annoyed I didn’t have any version of Fate, and the flowchart makes it convenient if I ever need to quote stuff for my friend group who play FGO. I am not reading Hollow Ataraxia REMASTERED, I hate Mahjong.

Olympia Soiree– the link is to all my Otomate saves, not sure if they all work. Anyway, it was an interesting read. Olympia was shown strategically nude more times then I expected, and the game allowed her to be horny which few otome titles do. She was annoyingly naive a few too many times, and I got sick of the no one should die mentality of the good ends. It was overall an interesting setting though. Made me want more otome.

Edit- 11/10

Slay the Princess – Pristine Cut– I checked it out since I heard a lot of buzz about this when it came out, I can see why. It’s not really in a genre I enjoy but it was fascinating watching the whole package come together. I ended up enjoying it more then I expected. Also a rare instance of the voice acting not getting on my nerves. Incredibly well done.

Edit- 11/18-

Xblaze Code Embryo + Lost Memories

The Blazblue side visual novels. They have way less to do with Blazblue then I expected, with only terminology and one character really having any relevance to these stories.

Code is annoying. The protag is the hates violence and makes bad decisions all the time, yet wins the girl despite only making things worse the entire time type. It’s basically a gender flipped otome, only with a more whiny and annoying and less attractive protag. Also having each chapter half have 3 summaries you need to load and read through to 100% is just a dumb decision. It killed the pacing so much.

Memories on the other hand is just an Es fandisc that also contains retellings of Code from every other girl’s perspective. The core story of Memories is about getting a happy ending out of Es’s story from the original + stuff with the only actual Blazblue character. It was better then Code, though miss Pink is only slightly better then Code’s protag until the later half. Memories also has these weird dungeon walking bits with no fail state, they just add time to the game and nothing else.

Both games failed by not giving Yuki any fanservice cgs. Not even a swimsuit shot. Such a missed opportunity…

December first 18+ games total- 2

Edit 11/9- Unthemed Extra-

Sani Yang’s Laboratory
